ELDR is Old Nors for fire. We love how fire brings people together to enjoy a great meal, unique flavors & good conversation. At the end of the day, that’s what ELDR is all about.

Our light-filled & airy North Asheville restaurant features new American cuisine that focuses on an ingredients-driven menu, natural wine, craft coffee & cocktails.

about us

ELDR is a collaboration between local restaurateurs Carson Lucci and chef Eric Burleson of the much loved Over Easy Café, and Heather and Jim Cassidy.

Chef Eric, a Spruce Pine, NC, native and a fixture on Asheville’s local food scene for over 15 years, brings his signature culinary talents as well as his love of seasonal, Appalachian, and heritage-raised ingredients to every dish on the menu.

We can’t wait to serve you!

our roots

Housed in the Grovewood Village, ELDR once was the old woodworking shop of Biltmore Industries. Biltmore Industries was managed by Eleanor Vance and Charlotte Yale. Pioneers of their era, these women oversaw the staff, and designed many of the intricate wood carved goods in the 1920s.

We have a deep respect for our eldrs and our shared history as we look forward to transforming the space into ELDR restaurant.
